Our Trip to Estes Park, Yogi Bear Jellystone

The boys love to camp and so acamping me went. :) Our trip took us to Estes Park (I love it there!!) and to the Yogi Bear Jellystone campground. Yes we went by ourselves but it turned out to be a great trip. The drive, hook up, set up, etc. was really uneventful which I was thankful for.

Once we got there and got settled in the boys played - mini golf, play ground, arcade room, activities, etc. There is always something to do up there. I tried to get a little down time in when Jake would nap until the chipmunks came out. They were devil chipmunks that attacked me twice - it was awful!! :) Then I had one jump into our gray water bucket and commit suicide. Then came the 2 am croup call and the trip to the ER. At least we know that Estes Park has a great ER. Jake was a trooper, though and recovered well. As you can imagine, sleep was a bit elusive this trip.

We were able to go to Rocky Mountain National Park and had a wonderful time. We got up to Bear Lake and walked around it - that was about as much of a hike with Jake after croup that I was willing to do. The boys had a good time and it was beautiful up there. We also hit a museum for Ty - he loves them.

It was a great way to end our summer - can't believe it's already over. It was fast, colder than normal, but good considering that life isn't exactly normal right now. Hope you enjoy our photos!
