Easter Weekend

We had an awesome Easter weekend - just family. It was a really needed time for us to really connect before a few changes in our lives. We started Saturday off with a very cold, very snowy soccer game for Ty. Can we just say burrrrr!! Jake gave up after about 10 minutes and opted for a movie in the car while Dave and I toughed it out with Ty.

Then we played games - well really just Pirate Battleship. Ty and Dave played a couple games and had a great time. It was just such a different kind of battleship that it took forever to play. Jake didn't mind, though, as he just ate the snacks while the game went one.

Next we colored eggs. Jake slept through part of that but Ty and Dad had lots of fun. It's a family tradition and of course I have to take pictures.

After this we went to see a movie - Monsters VS Aliens in 3D. It was so much fun and even Jake could enjoy it. Special memories for my boys.

Sunday we went to church and enjoyed a very nice Easter service. Ty sang in both services which was very cute to see - all of the kids sang a couple of songs and it was great as always to see the kids be a part of our service. After church, we went home to hunt for eggs. The Easter Bunny left lots of eggs and goodies for the boys. I think their favorite part was the Daddy Doll with a special message for each of them by Daddy.

The rest of the day we spent playing games, hanging out and just being a family. Very special times for the boys.
