Our first night it was a bit fridged. We were trying to figure out the heater and so we had it off and on all night long. Boy was it cold - 25 degrees to be exact.
Jake didn't think sleeping in the camper was that great so he ended up with us and Ty pulled another blanket in to keep him warm.
On Saturday it was gorgeous. Not too hot but just warm enough to bike around and enjoy the day.
Ty and Daddy played catch - practicing those baseball skills. Jake offered to help.
We took 2 bike rides and Ty was a great rider. He was such a trooper even when he was having trouble changing gears. Jake just took it all in stride. Must be nice to let Daddy do all the work.
We biked around the resevoir but stopped to take in the sites. There was a pleasant gentle breeze - apparently enough to sail around on.
We also found a "beach" and the boys played in the sand. They had lots of fun and got lots of sand everywhere.
After dinner it was s'mores time. Since our first night had been so cold, we decided to wait on the s'mores. Saturday, though, was nice and a perfect night for the cold. Ty and Dave started with s'mores and I stared with the campfire pies. Dave and Ty quickly realized I was on to something yummy! Jake stuck with the s'mores and decided they were good.
Our second night was warm and toasty - we bought more propane and were warm. Jake slept with Ty, and life was good. We packed up Sunday and were all grumpy as we didn't want to leave. We'll be camping again soon if the weather will comply (supposed to rain this weekend). But we thought we'd share our adventures with you!
